This event is for anyone with a story to tell. We all know the importance of our personal history, but often times the thought of writing it down or recording it is prohibitive for many reasons. These are important stories that need to be told, before they are lost or forgotten.

Our goal is to get together people who are interested to talk about any aspect of the Jewish community over the years--growing up in South Bend or coming to South Bend, about their synagogue, their neighborhood, changes they have observed, etc. We can brainstorm about your preferred format (writing your own story, interview style, video recording, audio recording, etc.)

She is also the author of the book "Kurt Simon: Businessman and Benefactor" and was a contributing writer for many years in the pages of Our Community Newsletter, including this story from the original “Telling Our Stories” series featuring community member, Janina Goetz.
