Learn about the rituals & meaning of Jewish burial
Join us at Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery on June 8th at 3:00 PM.
We have heard rabbis tell us at Jewish funerals that the highest mitzvah we can perform is to help bury a fellow-Jew because it is the one mitzvah that cannot be repaid.
On June 8th at 3:00pm, Rabbi Kuppel Lindow and Bekki Lindow will help us understand the origin of practices concerning Jewish death and burial rituals, such as Chevra Kadisha and the traditional Biblical understanding of cremation.
The Michiana Jewish Historical Society along with the Elkhart History Museum invites you to this event on June 8th at the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery (at the corner of Logan St. and Jefferson Boulevard) in Mishawaka, at 3:00pm.
